Broiled Salmon


Ingriedents: (for 4 servings)

4 pieces of sliced salmon (lightly salted), 1/2 cup grated daikon (daikonoroshi).

How to make:

  1. Place sakanayakiami (broilling net) on flame to preheat so that fish doen't stick on the net.
  2. Place salmon on net skin side down.
  3. Heat with middle flame for 1 to 2 minutes so that fish is marked with net.
  4. Turn it over on the other side carefully without breaking its form. Do not turn it before it is browned well.
  5. Keep on middle flame until it browned well. Then reduce flame to allow heat to penetrate to its core.
  6. Place salmon on serving plate skin side down. Garnish with grated daikon.
